Hey, my name is Autumn and this is my partner Matt. We have been together since Spring of 2008, and enjoy camping, trying new things and taking care of our pets.
In September 2010 we moved to a 10 acre ranch in the High Desert of Central Oregon, just outside of Bend. Our purpose was clear: to begin a life of self sustainability. Matt was raised on a farm and worked as caretaker for three years, while I grew up in the city and know very little about 'Ranch Life'. It was clear when we decided to do this that there is a lot I need to learn and this blog serves as a purpose to share our plans and experiences, one baby step at a time, whatever may come our way .
